Your role will involve supporting student success through evaluations, counseling, and collaborative problem solving, working with a multidisciplinary team to ensure every learner reaches their full potential.
What You’ll Need:
- Master’s degree in School Psychology or related field
- State certification as a School Psychologist
- At least two years of experience, including internship, in a school setting
- Strong knowledge of psychoeducational assessment tools and interpretation
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, educators, and external stakeholders
- Competence with digital systems for evaluations and reporting
- Capable of meeting physical requirements including operation of standard office equipment and minimal lifting
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct formal psychoeducational evaluations to determine student eligibility for special education
- Prepare comprehensive reports, sharing findings with students, parents, and faculty
- Observe and assess student behavior and school records, identifying needs and developing support plans
- Deliver mental health services through individual and group counseling
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and outside agencies to promote positive outcomes
- Participate in IEP planning and crisis intervention programs
- Contribute to professional development sessions for staff and families, staying informed of new policies and practices
- Handle necessary documentation and reporting, including Medicaid-related forms
