Key qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or eligibility in Washington State
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a closely related field
- Background in psychological assessment, behavioral intervention, and counseling
- Strong knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and MTSS/RTI processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse student populations and multidisciplinary teams
- Previous school-based experience is preferred, but motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply
Primary responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations to guide educational planning and eligibility for special education
- Provide individual and group counseling to support students’ emotional and social wellbeing
- Consult with teachers, parents, and staff to develop interventions and instructional strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings, crisis intervention, and the development of behavior support plans
- Collect, interpret, and report data to support evidence-based practices within the school community
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
