Work closely with the Department of Student Services to address a range of academic, emotional, and behavioral needs while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Possession of a valid Maryland School Psychology License
- Previous experience working within K-12 educational settings preferred
- Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Adept at handling diverse caseloads and managing multiple priorities
- Commitment to culturally responsive and ethical practice
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations and interpret results for educational eligibility
- Deliver short-term counseling and crisis intervention services for students
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Participate in Student Services meetings and multidisciplinary teams to support student learning and mental health
- Provide recommendations for classroom strategies, behavioral interventions, and services
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with district and state regulations
- Support staff with training and consultation on social-emotional learning, behavior management, and crisis response
