School Psychologist - Lexington, SC

Work hands-on supporting student success as a School Psychologist in a dynamic educational setting near Lexington, SC. This contract opportunity, running from August 6, 2026, through May 27, 2027, invites dedicated professionals to work full-time, either onsite or virtually (virtual roles require a screen calling). Openings are available for both in-person and select virtual placements.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in School Psychology required
- Minimum of two years’ experience as a school psychologist intern or equivalent combination of education and experience
- State certification as a School Psychologist is essential
- Exceptional skills in communication, assessment, and counseling across varying age groups and educational backgrounds
- Proficiency in conducting psychoeducational evaluations and interpreting data
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, administrators, and community partners
Core Responsibilities:
- Complete comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and report findings to parents and teachers
- Provide individual and group counseling, addressing mental health needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and crisis intervention activities
- Consult with school staff and parents to build positive behavioral supports and learning strategies
- Maintain accurate records, complete required forms, and support Medicaid reimbursement processes
- Stay current with changes in legislation and professional best practices
- Participate in professional development, and act as a liaison with external mental health and social service agencies
