What we’re seeking:
- Current and valid NY School Psychologist certification
- Demonstrated experience or training as a CSE/CPSE Chairperson is strongly preferred
- Proficient in conducting comprehensive psychoeducational assessments
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple responsibilities effectively
- Detail-oriented and adept at documenting findings and recommendations
- Previous experience working in school settings is a plus
Key responsibilities:
- Administer, score, and interpret a range of psychological assessments for students
- Act as Chairperson for CSE meetings, facilitating collaboration among team members and stakeholders
- Prepare clear, concise reports and present results to teams and families
- Support individualized education program (IEP) development with data-driven insights
- Consult with educators, administrators, and families to address academic, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Assist in crisis intervention and support within the school community
- Maintain compliance with state and federal Special Education regulations
