Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Active state licensure as a School Psychologist
- Certification appropriate for working in school settings
- Direct experience with students in elementary, middle, or high school
- Strong ability to conduct assessments, develop interventions, and communicate results
- Familiar with IEP process, special education regulations, and counseling best practices
- Adept at collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families
- Detail-oriented and organized, with excellent written and verbal communication
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations for students, interpreting results to guide learning supports
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement educational or behavioral plans
- Provide counseling interventions individually or in small groups
- Participate in IEP meetings and assist with eligibility determination
- Support crisis intervention and develop preventative programs
- Serve as a resource for staff and families, providing expertise in areas of student mental health and behavior
- Maintain comprehensive and confidential records in accordance with legal requirements
