Step into a dynamic contract opportunity starting this August, providing support as a School Psychologist within an elementary setting. This full-time role is designed for professionals eager to work collaboratively alongside experienced school psychologists while making a significant impact for students at the elementary level.
You'll have the chance to focus on conducting initial assessments and re-evaluations, ensuring every child’s unique needs are identified and supported. With 37.5 hours per week, you'll experience a balanced schedule and the rewarding challenge of making a difference.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current certification or license as a School Psychologist
- Proven track record of working successfully with elementary-aged students
- Strong understanding of conducting initial evaluations and re-evaluations
- Excellent skills in communication, consultation, and collaboration with educators and families
- Ability to interpret test results and write concise, informative reports
- Familiarity with best practices in special education and response to intervention (RTI)
- Experience working in a school setting is a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students referred for initial assessment and re-evaluation
- Interpret and communicate evaluation results with teachers, staff, and families
- Collaborate with other district psychologists to develop intervention strategies and recommendations
- Provide consultation to staff regarding student learning, behavior, and mental health needs
- Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation in a timely manner
- Support efforts to create positive, supportive school environments
