Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or eligibility as a School Psychologist
- Experience conducting psycho-educational assessments and interpreting results
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication, consultation, and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
- Familiarity with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) processes
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment for diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs using standardized and informal measures
- Deliver individual and group counseling to students as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and specialists to develop and monitor effective interventions
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the eligibility determination process for special education services
- Provide crisis intervention and support in urgent situations
- Consult regularly with families and staff regarding student progress and recommended strategies
