Take your school psychology expertise to a vibrant educational community near McKinney, TX. This is a contract position providing on-site, full-time support (37.5 hours/week) for the new school year. You'll play a vital role working with either K-12, elementary, or middle school students—grade levels will be assigned based on final caseload distribution.
Utilize your evaluation and counseling skills in a meaningful setting, collaborating with educators and families to make a lasting difference in students’ lives.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Active School Psychologist credential in Texas (or eligibility for licensure)
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and evaluations, with capacity for about 10 evaluations per month
- Confidence in providing counseling services to 6-8 students, adapting approach for various age groups
- Strong understanding of IEP process, special education law, and RTI/MTSS frameworks
- Excellent communication, consultation, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify student needs and inform instruction
- Deliver individual and group counseling with focus on supporting academic, social, and emotional growth
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, engaging teachers, families, and administrators
- Support crisis intervention and preventative mental health initiatives on campus
- Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and progress monitoring as required
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation and reports
