Qualifications and Experience Desired:
- Active, valid Louisiana Department of Education School Psychologist Certification required
- Previous experience as a School Psychologist in a school setting strongly preferred
- Proficiency in conducting assessments, developing IEPs, and providing intervention strategies
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Must complete district drug screening and fingerprinting, in addition to standard credentialing requirements
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive psychological services to students (caseload and specific age groups to be determined)
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and contribute to multidisciplinary evaluations
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and implement IEPs and behavioral interventions
- Support crisis intervention, problem-solving, and student counseling as needed
- Facilitate meetings and provide consultation to staff and families on student needs
- Maintain thorough, accurate, and confidential records in compliance with district policies
- Adapt to schedules and needs as assigned throughout the school year (up to full-time, 35 hours/week with a standard school calendar)
