Make a meaningful difference supporting K-12 students in a dynamic, diverse educational environment near Minneapolis, MN! This in-person or hybrid contract opportunity offers flexibility for both full-time and part-time School Psychologists interested in using their expertise to foster student success across multiple assignments (specific school locations to be determined).
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive school psychological services for K-12 students, including assessment, consultation, and intervention.
- Contribute to multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) by advising educational teams, collaborating on interventions, and engaging in problem-solving processes.
- Deliver mental health supports, crisis prevention, intervention, and postvention services as needed.
- Consult with educators, administrators, and families to promote student well-being and inclusive practices.
- Maintain accurate, timely compliance with federal and state special education regulations and documentation.
- Foster culturally responsive and equitable service delivery.
- Engage in district-level leadership, training, and capacity-building for staff as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education Specialist or Doctoral degree in School Psychology (or equivalent degree).
- Valid Minnesota school psychologist license issued by PELSB.
- Commitment to equity and culturally responsive practice.
- Proficiency in evidence-based assessment and intervention strategies, as well as mental health support.
Preferred Qualifications:
- National School Psychologist Certification (NCSP) or eligibility.
- Experience within an MTSS framework, especially consulting and supporting adults.
- Strong facilitation skills and ability to build trust among diverse stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of special education law and compliance.
- Successful background in urban or multicultural education settings.
Typical hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, with flexible scheduling options based on candidate availability and district needs.
