School Psychologist - New Castle, Delaware

Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Experience conducting psychological assessments and interpreting results
- Strong understanding of special education laws and processes
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
Core Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students using standardized tests, observations, and interviews to identify educational and behavioral needs
- Develop and recommend evidence-based interventions and support plans
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to implement effective strategies
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and help develop IEP goals
- Provide individual or group counseling to support students’ social and emotional well-being
- Offer crisis intervention when needed and contribute to school-wide prevention programs
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and submit timely reports
