Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s or specialist-level degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid state School Psychologist certification or eligibility for certification
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
- Proficiency in counseling, behavioral intervention, and crisis response within K-12 settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of IEP development, special education law, and documentation best practices
- Prior school-based or pediatric experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support student academic growth and mental health
- Develop and implement evidence-based intervention strategies and behavioral plans
- Serve as an integral member of multidisciplinary teams, contributing to IEP meetings and eligibility determinations
- Provide individual and group counseling to students as needed
- Support crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies within the school community
- Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards
