Qualifications & Preferred Background:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist (or eligibility in North Carolina)
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in a school setting
- Strong skills in assessment, intervention, and counseling
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Knowledgeable in Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) preferred
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility to travel between three local elementary sites as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students
- Deliver direct counseling and intervention services, tailored to elementary needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive learning plans
- Contribute to student support and IEP meetings as a key team member
- Promote advocacy and positive behavioral interventions within the school community
- Maintain accurate records and data to support student growth and progress
