School Psychologist in Normal, IL

Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree (or higher) in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure/certification as a School Psychologist
- Previous experience working in a school or educational setting preferred
- Strong assessment, consultation, and crisis intervention skills
- Ability to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and other specialists
- Excellent communication, time-management, and organizational abilities
- Knowledge of current special education laws, procedures, and best practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results for eligibility and service planning
- Participate in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans
- Provide individual and group counseling to address emotional, behavioral, and academic needs
- Offer consultation and intervention support to educators and families
- Assist with crisis response, behavioral intervention planning, and prevention programs
- Engage in ongoing professional development to ensure up-to-date practice approaches
- Help foster a positive, inclusive school climate where every student can thrive
