Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state certification or license as a School Psychologist
- Previous experience working in K-5 or elementary settings preferred
- Strong understanding of assessment tools and special education processes
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and administrators
- Excellent communication, organizational, and report-writing skills
- Familiarity with virtual platforms for remote assessment and meetings a plus
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psycho-educational assessments and interpret results for educational planning
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and parents to develop appropriate interventions
- Participate in IEP meetings as a key interdisciplinary team member
- Provide consultation and support for RtI/MTSS initiatives
- Offer counseling services and crisis intervention as needed
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Help foster a positive learning environment and promote student well-being
