Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsement for School Psychology
- Experience or strong interest in working with junior high school students
- Solid communication and collaboration skills
- Understanding of assessment tools, special education guidelines, and intervention strategies
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in all student matters
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for students
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and support for students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
- Implement evidence-based interventions tailored to student needs
- Participate actively in eligibility meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and RTI/MTSS processes
- Maintain accurate and timely student records and documentation
- Offer guidance and professional insight to school staff regarding best practices in supporting student well-being
