Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current certification and licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working across elementary, middle, and high school settings
- Familiarity with delivering comprehensive psychoeducational assessments
- Strong understanding of special education processes and legal requirements
- Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Effective communication abilities for working with students, families, and staff
- Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards in student advocacy
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ cognitive, academic, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Develop and participate in interventions and strategies to promote academic and social success
- Serve as an active member of multi-disciplinary teams, including Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student progress
- Provide crisis intervention and counseling, as needed
- Advocate for inclusive educational practices and student well-being
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
