Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Michigan School Psychologist certification is required
- Demonstrated experience working in K-12 educational settings
- Strong background in conducting psychological and academic evaluations
- Ability to manage an itinerant schedule and travel between schools as needed
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for working in diverse school environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psychological services, including evaluations, consultations, and interventions
- Conduct assessments using a range of tools for academic, behavioral, and social-emotional functioning
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective strategies for student support
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and planning sessions
- Maintain accurate records and prepare essential documentation in a timely manner
- Offer crisis intervention and short-term counseling as needed for students
- Travel between assigned schools, adapting to the needs of each location’s student population
