School Psychologist – School-Based Contract | Portsmouth, VA 23704
ProCare Therapy is seeking two dedicated School Psychologists for flexible school-based contract opportunities in the Portsmouth area for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year. This position is open to both full-time and part-time candidates, and new graduates are encouraged to apply. Position Details
Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)

K–12 districtwide assignment
In-person services required
Mix of evaluations, re-evaluations, and consultation services
Potential renewal opportunity for the 2026–2027 school year
Responsibilities
Conduct psychoeducational assessments and evaluations
Participate in IEP meetings and eligibility determinations
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across K–12 settings
Provide consultation and support to teachers, staff, and families
Assist with intervention planning and student support services
Maintain compliance with district and state timelines and documentation requirements

Qualifications
Active Virginia School Psychologist license required
Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree or equivalent in School Psychology
Ability to work within a K–12 school setting
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
