About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative School Psychologist to join a supportive school district in Pottsville, Pennsylvania for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time position offers the opportunity to support students across grades K–12 through comprehensive assessment, consultation, and intervention services.
The ideal candidate will conduct onsite evaluations and collaborate closely with educators, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success. Report writing may be completed offsite, providing flexibility while maintaining a strong school presence for student assessments and team collaboration.
Primary Responsibilities
Conduct psychoeducational evaluations for students in grades K–12
Complete comprehensive evaluation reports and provide data-driven recommendations
Participate in eligibility, IEP, reevaluation, and multidisciplinary team meetings
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and support staff to address student needs
Provide consultation regarding academic, behavioral, and social-emotional concerns
Assist with intervention planning and progress monitoring
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Serve as a resource for students, staff, and families regarding educational and behavioral supports
Qualifications
Required
Valid Pennsylvania School Psychologist certification/licensure or eligibility to obtain certification
Master's, Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
Strong assessment, consultation, and report-writing skills
Knowledge of special education procedures, evaluations, and eligibility requirements
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary educational teams
Preferred
Previous experience working with students across multiple grade levels
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Experience conducting comprehensive psychoeducational assessments
Commitment to supporting diverse learners and inclusive educational practices
