You’ll play a key role in supporting students from ages 3 to 21, helping them overcome challenges and reach their full potential. Your day may include conducting evaluations, facilitating assessments, leading eligibility determinations, and developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). You’ll also provide vital counseling and behavioral support, participate in intervention planning, and consult regularly with teachers, families, administrators, and other specialists. Additional duties may include crisis response, progress monitoring, data collection, and other essential psychological services tailored to the needs of each school or program.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid Rhode Island School Psychologist certification (RIDE 5403)
- Experience or significant interest in working with students aged 3–21
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to the evolving needs of school environments and student populations
