This role invites passionate professionals ready to deliver comprehensive psychological services in a dynamic K-12 environment. Your expertise will help foster academic, emotional, and behavioral growth while collaborating closely with staff and families. Rather than focusing solely on assessments, you’ll take on meaningful roles in intervention planning, mental health promotion, and team consultation across 1–2 school sites.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold or be eligible to obtain a Michigan School Psychologist Certification before starting (support is available for licensure if you’re an out-of-state traveler)
- Experience providing school-based psychological services preferred
- Demonstrated strength in assessment, intervention strategies, and data-driven problem-solving
- Excellent communicator and team collaborator, comfortable working with a diverse range of students, families, and educational staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and interpret assessment results for eligibility and intervention
- Partner with educators and families to develop effective student support plans
- Deliver individual and group counseling and crisis intervention as needed
- Contribute to multi-disciplinary teams for the development of IEPs and 504 plans
- Assist with the implementation of school-wide mental health initiatives
- Mentor and consult with school staff on student behavior and learning challenges
Work Details:
- Contract, onsite-only position
- 37.5 hours per week, supporting students from late August through mid-June
- Assigned to 1–2 schools within a collaborative district team of psychologists
