About the Position
We are seeking a skilled School Psychologist to provide comprehensive assessment, consultation, intervention, and student support services within a school-based environment.
Job Duties
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations
- Administer and interpret cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments
- Prepare evaluation reports and communicate findings
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families
- Assist with academic and behavioral intervention planning
- Support students’ social-emotional and behavioral needs
- Monitor student progress and make data-informed recommendations
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Ensure compliance with IDEA and Michigan special education requirements
Requirements
- Graduate degree in School Psychology from an approved program
- Valid Michigan School Psychologist Certificate or Preliminary School Psychologist Certificate
- For a Preliminary Certificate: completion of an approved graduate school psychology program of at least 45 semester credit hours and a 600-clock-hour supervised practicum
- For a standard School Psychologist Certificate: completion of a specialist-level degree or equivalent of at least 60 semester credit hours and a 1,200-clock-hour internship
- Appropriate Michigan certification through the Michigan Online Educator Certification System (MOECS)
- Strong assessment, communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of IDEA and Michigan special education requirements
- Successful completion of required background screening and district onboarding requirements
