Make an impact in students’ lives by supporting their educational journey as a school psychologist in the St. Louis area. This contract role offers the experience of working across diverse K-12 settings, providing valuable psychological services and special education evaluations. Assignments will most likely take place at two sites within the Normandy and Jennings areas, and you’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team in a Child Find–based environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong background in school psychology within K-12 environments
- Experience conducting special education evaluations and managing a steady caseload
- Familiarity with best practices for Child Find procedures
- Active Missouri Department of Education (DOE) certification in school psychology (required)
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage confidential student data, and communicate effectively with educators and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute comprehensive special education assessments for students from kindergarten through grade twelve
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop plans supporting students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting in line with district and legal requirements
- Provide direct consultations and crisis interventions as necessary
- Support an average caseload of 8-10 students at any time, completing approximately 32 cases per year
This position is full-time, with 37.5 hours per week, and runs through the school year until late May 2027. Assignment will be on-site, so reliable transportation is essential. The role requires timely completion of district credentialing, including fingerprinting (with TCN number confirmation) and technology forms.
