In this position, you’ll collaborate with educators and support staff to provide crucial special education evaluations for a diverse student population. The typical caseload includes working with 8-10 students or cases at any given time, averaging 32 evaluations annually, though both part-time and short-term contracts can be accommodated for the right candidate.
Key qualifications:
- Hold an active Missouri Department of Education (DOE) School Psychologist certification.
- Experience or strong interest in K-12 settings and Child Find processes.
- Special education evaluation skills, including collaboration on IEP teams.
- Ability to work on-site and adapt to assignments across campuses as needed.
- Meet all district onboarding requirements, including fingerprinting (submit TCN number) and completion of required district technology forms.
Primary responsibilities:
- Administer and interpret comprehensive psychological assessments for special education eligibility.
- Participate in multidisciplinary evaluation teams, contributing thorough and clear reports.
- Help guide instructional interventions and support plans based on assessment results.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records in accordance with district and legal standards.
- Communicate effectively with families, staff, and district personnel.
Contract details include 37.5 hours per week and the chance to positively impact students across varied grade levels. Full-time placement is preferred, but outstanding part-time or short-term professionals will be considered.
