This contract opportunity focuses on supporting K-12 students through special education evaluations, Child Find processes, and tailored psychological services—primarily serving two schools near the St. Louis and Jennings area. You’ll work closely with a collaborative school staff within an encouraging educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active Missouri Department of Education (DOE) certification required
- Experience conducting special education evaluations and Child Find activities
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Previous experience with K-12 student populations—diverse age ranges and backgrounds
- Completion of district fingerprinting, with a TCN number provided to the district for confirmation
- Willingness to complete a district technology form prior to start
Role Responsibilities:
- Complete special education evaluations for designated schools, averaging 8-10 active cases and approximately 32 cases annually
- Support the Child Find process by identifying and assessing students for educational needs
- Collaborate with teachers, school counselors, and administrative staff to implement effective interventions and support plans
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to all district and state guidelines
- Foster a supportive, understanding environment for students and families
This is a full-time contract role (37.5 hours/week), scheduled to run through the end of the academic year. You’ll have the opportunity to see tangible results from your work while building meaningful connections with students and staff.
