Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active Missouri Department of Education school psychologist certification
- Strong background in administering special education assessments and evaluations
- Experience collaborating with diverse school staff, students, and families
- Familiarity with legal and ethical guidelines in a school setting
- Ability to travel between assigned school locations as required
- Satisfactory fingerprinting and prompt submission of required district forms
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations for students suspected of needing special education services
- Maintain an average caseload of 8-10 cases at any given time, with a full-time average of 32 cases per year
- Participate in Child Find activities and contribute to multidisciplinary team decisions
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and support student interventions and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide crisis intervention and consultation as needed
- Keep meticulous records in compliance with district and state regulations
