School Psychologist - Scarborough, ME

This position offers a balanced 2-day-per-week schedule through June 16, 2027. One day will focus exclusively on K-5 evaluations at the elementary school level, while the other day serves pre-K (4-year-old) evaluations across the district. With an immediate start, you’ll be part of a collaborative team dedicated to student growth and well-being.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current state licensure or eligibility as a School Psychologist (Nationally Certified preferred)
- Experience in administering and interpreting psychological and educational assessments for K-5 and preschool-aged children
- Strong communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with IEPs, Response to Intervention (RTI), and relevant legal frameworks
- Flexibility to travel between locations on assigned days across the district
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for students in K-5 and preschool, including cognitive, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments
- Participate in eligibility meetings and provide clear, actionable reports for teams and families
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to identify interventions and strategies
- Support the creation and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
