Your typical week will consist of 35 hours spent serving a diverse caseload spanning kindergarten through twelfth grade. The role is designed for professionals with firsthand experience in school settings and the credentials to make a real difference from day one.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Michigan school psychologist license required
- Prior professional experience in a school environment
- Strong assessment, counseling, and individualized education program (IEP) development skills
- Excellent communication and collaborative abilities with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and academic assessments for K-12 students
- Provide direct counseling and consultation services
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise to develop student-centered plans
- Collaborate with teachers and administrators to address learning or behavioral challenges
- Counsel families and provide crisis intervention support as needed
- Maintain timely and thorough records in compliance with district and state guidelines
