Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state license/certification as a School Psychologist
- Previous experience working in a school environment highly preferred
- Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Comfort working with students from diverse backgrounds
- Commitment to ethical, student-centered practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psycho-educational assessments and interpret results for students referred for special education services
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement strategies to address learning or behavioral concerns
- Provide direct counseling and support services to students individually and in groups
- Guide the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and attend relevant meetings
- Deliver crisis intervention and support when needed
- Assist in the development of positive behavioral support plans
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive school climate
