Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold a valid state certification or license as a School Psychologist
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field required
- Demonstrated understanding of school-based psychological services and best practices
- Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
- Ability to perform comprehensive assessments and develop appropriate intervention plans
- Strong communication, consultation, and collaboration skills with students, faculty, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for referred students
- Provide direct counseling, intervention, and support for students’ academic, behavioral, and mental health needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create and implement individualized educational and behavioral strategies
- Serve on multidisciplinary teams to develop and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Section 504 plans
- Deliver crisis intervention services and respond to emergency situations as needed
- Facilitate trainings or workshops for staff, students, or families on mental health and wellness topics
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and confidential student files in accordance with regulations
