Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Current licensure/certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with Pre-K or early childhood populations
- Familiarity with delivering behavioral interventions and conducting comprehensive evaluations
- Strong skills in multidisciplinary collaboration
- Ability to engage families and caregivers in the intervention and transition process
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing progress monitoring
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide behavioral intervention services for Pre-K students as part of the First Step Transition program
- Conduct school readiness and social-emotional assessments, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (OT, PT, SLP, and others)
- Deliver classroom consultation and coaching to support positive behaviors
- Engage with families to facilitate smooth transitions for incoming students
- Lead or participate in preschool evaluations, including two-day assessments involving parents and multidisciplinary staff
- Maintain regular documentation and communication, ensuring each student’s progress is closely tracked
- Support a typical caseload of about 70 students, primarily within a specialized preschool setting
