Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in Washington State
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a closely related field
- Demonstrated experience performing assessments and developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong understanding of Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI)
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaborative skills
- Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and needs
- Previous experience within school settings preferred
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and psychoeducational evaluations of students referred for testing
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement appropriate strategies and interventions
- Interpret results of assessments and contribute to eligibility determinations for special education services
- Facilitate and participate in IEP meetings, providing professional recommendations
- Provide direct and indirect counseling services to students to support their emotional and academic growth
- Assist in crisis prevention and intervention as needed
- Support positive student behavior and foster a safe, inclusive learning environment
