Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid VA Psychologist License (required)
- Demonstrated experience in school psychology, including assessment, counseling, and consultation in K–12 environments
- Strong ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and families
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with special education processes, disability classifications, and relevant state/federal guidelines
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations, interpreting results to help guide student support plans
- Provide individual and group counseling to students as needed
- Collaborate on multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and other intervention plans
- Support positive behavioral interventions and strategies to foster a supportive school climate
- Offer consultation and training to teachers, staff, and families on issues affecting student learning and well-being
- Maintain thorough documentation and comply with all required reporting and ethical standards
