School Psychologist | Sterling Heights, Michigan
Make an immediate impact by supporting student success and well-being in an engaging educational environment. This contract opportunity runs through June 11, 2027, with a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours, allowing you to play a pivotal role alongside dedicated educators and families.
As a School Psychologist, you’ll go beyond traditional assessment roles—contributing your expertise to both testing and a wider array of psychological services. You’ll partner with staff and families to assess student needs, craft intervention plans, and promote positive mental health within the school community. The position offers the chance to focus on holistic student support and proactive mental health strategies, not just testing.
You’ll be assigned to one or two school buildings, joining a team of three full-time professionals who serve five schools—including both elementary and middle/high school buildings.
Desired Qualifications:
- Michigan School Psychologist Certification, or willingness to quickly secure MI licensure prior to start (support will be provided if you’re relocating or traveling).
- Prior experience in a school setting is preferred, though not required for enthusiastic and qualified candidates.
- Comfort working in-person and collaborating directly with students, faculty, and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and interpret test results for individualized education planning.
- Develop and recommend evidence-based interventions and supports.
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to foster a positive school climate.
- Consult and communicate with families regarding strategies to enhance student success.
- Assist with school-wide mental health initiatives and crisis intervention, when needed.
This role offers an inspiring environment where your work helps shape brighter futures. If you’re ready to contribute your skills to a supportive, collaborative team and make a genuine difference for students each day, we encourage you to submit your application now!
