School Psychologist - Strasburg, Virginia

Step into a pivotal role providing exceptional psychological services for students in a contract opportunity spanning the 2026-2027 academic year. This position supports schools near Strasburg, VA, with the flexibility to work virtually beginning June 24th, 2026. You’ll collaborate closely with educators and families to foster positive learning environments and student growth within a vibrant academic setting.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active School Psychologist license for Virginia
- Proven experience as a School Psychologist, ideally within a school-based environment
- Strong ability to administer assessments, interpret results, and develop effective strategies
- Skilled in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and excellent at communicating with students, families, and staff
- Comfortable working independently as well as remotely if necessary
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and interpret results for student planning
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention to support student well-being
- Collaborate with teaching staff to design interventions that address diverse learning and behavioral needs
- Engage with parents, teachers, and administrators to facilitate a supportive school climate
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state requirements
This assignment features a Monday through Friday schedule totaling 37.5 hours weekly, with your work beginning July 27th, 2026, and running through May 28th, 2027. You’ll have the added advantage of remote work flexibility as the academic year draws to a close.
