School Psychologist - Strasburg, Virginia

This position, located near Strasburg, VA, is ideal for dedicated professionals who want to help students succeed academically, emotionally, and socially. The assignment runs from July 27th, 2026, through May 28th, 2027, with a consistent, full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
You’ll play a pivotal role by collaborating with educational staff and families to develop and implement effective strategies for student well-being and learning. There is also flexibility to work in a virtual capacity as of June 24th, 2026, making this an appealing opportunity for both in-person and remote candidates.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Virginia Psychologist license required
- Prior experience working as a School Psychologist or in a related capacity in educational settings
- Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation is preferred
- Comfort with both onsite and virtual service delivery models
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student goals
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral consultation as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive plans
- Assist in developing and reviewing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation in accordance with district and legal guidelines
