Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or license in the state of Texas
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Experience working with elementary, middle, and high school students
- Strong skills in conducting psychological and academic assessments
- Familiarity with IEP processes and special education law
- Excellent communication, consultation, and collaboration abilities
- Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practices
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments for students referred due to learning, behavioral, or social-emotional concerns
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with special education teams
- Support school staff with interventions and evidence-based strategies to enhance student well-being
- Provide individual and group counseling to address students’ needs
- Develop and implement crisis intervention strategies as needed
- Serve as a resource for families, offering guidance and support regarding educational and mental health services
- Maintain accurate, confidential records according to state and federal guidelines
