Key qualifications and desired experience:
- Active Michigan School Psychologist license required (must be verified using the Michigan Educator Credential Search)
- Prior experience as a School Psychologist in K-12 settings highly preferred
- Skills in psychoeducational assessments, consultation, intervention planning, and crisis support
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to working full-time (37.5 hours per week) onsite across three school locations
- Reliable, organized, and passionate about promoting students’ academic and social well-being
Core responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students referred for academic, behavioral, or social concerns
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and monitor effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and interventions
- Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and recommendations for student support
- Foster a positive, supportive environment across school communities
- Participate in student support teams and professional development sessions
This contract role runs from August 12, 2026, to June 2, 2027. Travel School Psychologists bringing in-depth experience are especially encouraged to apply, with an enhanced travel compensation package designed for those making a difference in Monroe County.
