This full-time, on-site contract role is ideal for dedicated professionals passionate about assessment, intervention, and supporting the well-being of students from diverse backgrounds. The assignment spans two schools, running from August 11, 2026, through May 26, 2027, with consistent weekday hours from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Virginia Department of Education certification
- Current Virginia psychologist licensure
- Previous experience as a school psychologist, particularly with assessment and consultation
- Knowledgeable in FBA/BIP processes; experience with MTSS is a plus
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Eligibility for timely credentialing, including a VA Department of Social Services check and current TB test
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality psychological assessments for students across multiple age groups
- Consult with educators and staff on FBA/BIP strategies and provide expertise to support student interventions
- Contribute insights and recommendations within MTSS frameworks as needed
- Provide occasional support to social workers for counseling services
- Collaborate closely with educational diagnosticians and school teams (no academic achievement testing required)
- Maintain accurate documentation and up-to-date records adhering to all district and legal guidelines
