Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold a valid Connecticut Educator Certificate (School Psychologist)
- Fluency in both Spanish and English to facilitate communication across cultures
- Previous experience in a school-based psychological services role highly preferred
- Comfortable adapting to work with all grade levels as needs arise
- Strong collaboration, assessment, and counseling skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to support student mental health and academic achievement
- Conduct psychological assessments to inform eligibility for special education and intervention planning
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to develop student support plans
- Assist with crisis intervention, behavioral strategies, and consultative services within the school community
- Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation in compliance with regulations
