Qualifications:
- Valid RIDE certification as a School Psychologist is required
- Experience providing psychological assessments, interventions, and consultations in a middle or high school environment preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt to varying student needs
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for IEP eligibility and programming
- Provide targeted counseling and interventions to support student mental health, behavior, and academic success
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to develop effective educational and behavioral plans
- Facilitate small groups or individual sessions focused on social-emotional learning and resilience
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
- Consult with families regarding resources, progress, and strategies for ongoing student support
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
