Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Illinois School Psychologist License (IL Psych License required)
- Knowledge of current best practices in school psychological assessments and interventions
- Familiarity with evaluation processes for early childhood through elementary-aged students
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, families, and support staff
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Experience with school-based evaluations preferred
- Additional state/district requirements as applicable (such as PEL or specialized training)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and educational evaluations for students in preschool through 5th grade
- Prepare, interpret, and summarize assessment reports to guide educational planning
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Provide consultation and support to educators and guardians regarding student needs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school professionals to foster positive student outcomes
