Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Strong background in administering psychological and educational assessments
- Experience creating and implementing IEPs and 504 plans
- Ability to interpret data and effectively communicate findings to staff and families
- Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with current best practices in student mental health, behavioral interventions, and crisis response
- Previous experience in K-12 educational settings is preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students referred for academic, behavioral, and emotional concerns
- Consult with teachers, staff, and parents/guardians to develop individualized strategies supporting student success
- Participate in the creation and monitoring of IEPs and behavior intervention plans
- Deliver direct and indirect counseling or intervention services as needed
- Serve as a resource on multi-disciplinary teams, contributing psychological expertise to school-wide initiatives
- Promote and help implement preventive programs and support positive school climate
- Maintain thorough documentation and uphold confidentiality at all times
