In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, working closely with students, faculty, and families. This contract position requires one day per week at a school in the greater Wilkes Barre, PA area.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- A valid and current certification as a School Psychologist in Pennsylvania
- Prior experience in a school or educational setting
- Strong skills in assessment, intervention, and consultation with staff and parents
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to create a supportive and confidential environment for students
- Flexibility and a commitment to collaborative practice
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer assessments and interpret results to assist with student evaluations and eligibility determinations
- Develop and support the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Work with students individually and in groups to support social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other school professionals to promote positive student outcomes
- Provide guidance and resources to families regarding student progress and available supports
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in relevant meetings
