Qualifications:
- Virginia Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) License with an endorsement in School Psychology issued by the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE)
- Proven experience as a school psychologist or in a similar school-based role
- Strong skills in conducting and interpreting psychoeducational assessments
- Excellent communication and collaborative abilities
- Compassionate approach working with children, families, and educators
Responsibilities:
- Conduct approximately 5-10 full psychoeducational evaluations throughout the school year for K-12 students
- Administer and score standardized assessments, observe classrooms, and gather data relevant to student performance and behavior
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to interpret evaluation results and recommend strategies for student support
- Prepare detailed reports that meet regulatory standards and communicate findings in clear, accessible language
- Participate in eligibility and IEP meetings as needed, offering recommendations that address individual student needs
- Maintain up-to-date, confidential documentation in accordance with local and state guidelines
