Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity in the Washington DC area, just 45 minutes south of the city. This is a full-time, on-site position for a dedicated professional, bringing expertise in school psychology to support students across two school sites. You’ll play a key role in promoting student well-being and positive school environments, working weekdays from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM from August 11, 2026, through May 26, 2027.
Qualifications & Required Experience:
- Hold an active Virginia Department of Education certification.
- Possess current Virginia Psychologist Licensure.
- Prior school psychology experience preferred.
- Comfortable with assessment and consultation duties.
- Familiarity with Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) is an advantage.
- Ready to initiate the Virginia Department of Social Services background check and complete a TB test promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide consultation across assigned school campuses.
- Support development and implementation of FBAs and BIPs.
- Collaborate with school teams to reinforce MTSS practices.
- Occasionally partner with social workers in providing counseling (infrequent).
- No academic achievement testing required, as educational diagnosticians are present at all locations.
