Work across two elementary sites, providing crucial behavioral and psychological support.
Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Valid certification as a School Psychologist or School Social Worker
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing effective behavior plans
- Expertise in assisting educational staff with behavior management in diverse settings
- Skilled in conducting pre-referral interventions and comprehensive student evaluations
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, working well across teams and with families
- Prior experience in elementary school settings preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Provide psychological and behavioral services to elementary students onsite
- Develop individualized behavior plans and support their implementation alongside school staff
- Assist teachers and support staff with strategies for managing student behaviors
- Engage in pre-referral processes and contribute to multi-disciplinary assessment teams
- Participate in behavior intervention meetings, and offer guidance in crisis situations as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and work closely with school personnel and parents to promote student well-being
- Provide services for 7 hours per day, totaling 35 hours per week, for the contract duration
