Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in School Psychology or closely related field required
- Current and valid New Mexico School Psychologist license
- Experience working with elementary, middle, and/or high school student populations
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to administer, score, and interpret standardized academic and psychological assessments
- Strong understanding of federal and state regulations governing special education services
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to identify students’ needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Support implementation of interventions and monitor students’ progress
- Facilitate individual and group counseling to address behavioral and emotional issues
- Provide crisis intervention, consultation, and recommendations for classroom strategies
- Engage with parents, teachers, and administrators to foster a supportive educational environment
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation and adhere to confidentiality standards
